Description (from a shop): Yomesan® 500 mg Kautabletten Wirkstoff: Niclosamid Was ist Yomesan und wofür wird es angewendet? Yomesan ist ein Bandwurmmittel und wirkt lokal durch direkten Kontakt mit dem Bandwurmkopf (Skolex). Niclosamid (der Wirkstoff in Yomesan) hemmt die innere Atmung des Parasiten und der Kopf und die anschließenden Glieder sterben ab. Dadurch verliert die Gliederkette ihren Halt und geht mit den Stuhlentleerungen im ganzen oder auch in kleineren Teilen ab.
