Description (from a shop): Eisen ist maßgeblich an der Bildung von Hämoglobin, dem roten Farbstoff der Blutkörperchen, beteiligt. Das Hämoglobin ist für den Sauerstofftransport von der Lunge in alle Zellen des Körpers verantwortlich. Ein Eisenmangel führt deshalb in der Regel zu einem Sauerstoffmangel, was sich in ständiger Müdigkeit, blasser Gesichtsfarbe, Konzentrationsstörungen, Leistungsabfall oder Appetitmangel äußern kann.Der Grund für einen Eisenmangel kann eine eisenarme Ernährung (z.B. vegetarische Kost), eine gestörte Eisenaufnahme (z.B. bei Magensäuremangel oder Darmkrankheiten) oder eine gestörte Eisenspeicherfähigkeit sein.
