Description (from a shop): IRIS DES CHAMPS: El Iris es uno de los productos más valiosos en la paleta del perfumista. Considerado sagrado por los Egipcios, el Iris se convierte, bajo el heráldico nombre de Lily, en el símbolo de la realeza en Francia.Sorprendentemente, no es la flor la que contiene la valiosa fragancia, sino el rizoma (la raíz) que contiene los irones (las moléculas aromáticas del iris) los que entregan la riqueza olfativa. La flor por sí misma no tiene aroma.Su proceso de extracción es muy largo y delicado. Pasan tres años entre la siembra del primer cultivo y la cosecha de los rizomas.
