Tiene un sabor único y muy poderoso gracias al auténtico proceso de producción y fermentación de no menos de 2 años. El poderoso sabor umma hace del hatcho miso una buena y orgánica alternativa al cubo de caldo. Además, es particularmente adecuado como base para sopas (miso), salsas y adobos (de carne o pescado). También es delicioso en el pan, en combinación con la mantequilla de maní. El hatcho miso es el más poderoso de los cuatro tipos de miso.
