Description (from a shop): IRIS DES CHAMPS : L'iris est l'un des produits les plus précieux dans la palette du parfumeur. Considéré comme sacré par les Égyptiens, l'iris devient, sous le nom héraldique de Lys, le symbole de la royauté en France. Étonnamment, ce n'est pas la fleur qui contient la précieuse fragrance, mais le rhizome (la racine) qui contient les irones (les molécules aromatiques de l'iris) qui délivrent la richesse olfactive. La fleur elle-même n'a pas d'arôme. Son processus d'extraction est très long et délicat. Il faut trois ans entre la plantation de la première culture et la récolte des rhizomes. Une fois que les racines ont séché pendant une période de 3 ans, le parfumeur extrait le "beurre d'Iris"…
