Active Iron Pregnancy Plus 90 Capsules Pregnancy Iron, Active Folate & DHA Formula for Maternal Nutrition Before, During and After Pregnancy Active Iron Pregnancy Plus is a three-part pregnancy food supplement containing 30 Active Iron capsules, 30 multivitamin tablets with Active Folic and 30 omega-3 DHA capsules. One of each is taken daily, providing approximately 30 days' supply rather than 90 days. This is the previous Pregnancy Plus formulation, which Active Iron has now discontinued and replaced with its newer Active Iron Pregnancy product. Overview Active Iron Pregnancy Plus was developed as a comprehensive pregnancy supplement combining three separate nutritional components: Active Iron Multivitamin with Active Folic Omega-3 DHA Each 90-count pack contains 30 of each component. The recommended daily serving is therefore three individual capsules/tablets, giving approximately 30 days' supply. Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, normal oxygen transport and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The multivitamin contains folate as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate together with vitamins and minerals including vitamin D, B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and iodine. The DHA component provides omega-3 DHA. Maternal DHA intake contributes to the normal brain and eye development of the foetus. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200mg DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250mg EPA and DHA.
