With 2% salicylic acid, niacinamide, three essential ceramides and oil-absorbing hectorite clay, it removes dirt and excess oil, gently exfoliates dead skin cells and helps reduce the appearance of blemishes and blackheads while respecting the skin's natural barrier. Overview CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser combines everyday cleansing with 2% salicylic acid exfoliation for skin prone to blemishes, blackheads and excess oil. The refreshing gel-to-foam formula removes dirt, impurities and excess oils without stripping the skin of moisture. Salicylic acid gently exfoliates dead skin cells that can contribute to clogged pores, while hectorite clay provides oil-absorbing action to help minimise shine. The formula also contains niacinamide and CeraVe's three essential ceramides – Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP and Ceramide EOP – alongside hydrolysed hyaluronic acid. In a six-week clinical study involving 48 subjects, the number of spots appeared reduced by up to 34%. In a consumer self-assessment involving 57 participants, 94% agreed their skin felt clean and purified and 80% agreed visible pores looked clear.
