HOMEMATIC IP HMIP SWDO-2 - Window and door contact visual

"Homematic IP Smart Home window and door contact - optical Detects the opening and closing of windows and enables the heating to be lowered automatically The Homematic IP window and door contact is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably monitors doors and windows. The innovative sensor does not rely on the usual magnetic contacts, but on a sophisticated optical sensor. This eliminates the need for an additional magnet, which reduces the installation effort. The integrated infrared light barrier monitors the door or window and detects the open/closed status. The small sensor performs several tasks in the Homematic IP system. Firstly, it ensures that the heat supply is automatically reduced during ventilation by informing the Homematic IP radiator thermostat as soon as a window or external door is opened. A particularly practical feature here is the option of defining a message delay for doors that are used several times a day in order to prevent the radiator valves from constantly opening and closing. On the other hand, the sensor reliably monitors access to your own four walls when you are away. When alarm mode is activated, the Homematic IP siren can be activated in the event of an unauthorized window opening. A warning message is also sent to the user via the app in the form of a push notification. This gives the user the opportunity to react promptly to the dangerous situation. The small, 30 gram sensor works so effectively that it can operate for around two years on the power of one AAA battery. When the battery runs low, the Homematic IP app alerts you. The low sensor weight allows reliable installation using double-sided adhesive tape. This is supplied together with an additional brown cover cap and a reflector foil. If the window or door material does not allow attachment using adhesive tape, the two tiny screws supplied can be used. ensures that the room temperature is lowered during ventilation, e.g. in conjunction with the Homematic IP rad
