Milton Sterilising Fluid 1 Litre Cold-Water Sterilising Fluid for Baby Feeding Equipment, Breastfeeding Accessories & Household Surfaces Milton Sterilising Fluid is a concentrated biocidal disinfectant designed for cold-water sterilisation of baby feeding and breastfeeding equipment. When diluted according to the manufacturer's directions, it is effective in 15 minutes and the prepared solution remains effective for up to 24 hours. The 1 litre bottle is suitable for regular use at home and can also be used for appropriate household surface disinfection. Overview Milton Sterilising Fluid uses active chlorine released from sodium hypochlorite to disinfect baby feeding equipment and other suitable items. It can be used for baby bottles, breast pump parts, soothers, teething rings, plastic cutlery, weaning bowls and suitable small plastic toys. The manufacturer's current directions require items to be completely immersed in the correctly diluted solution for 15 minutes. Importantly, Milton's current Irish instructions now advise rinsing sterilised baby items with cooled boiled water before use. Milton states that this additional rinsing step has been introduced to comply with updated regulations.
