This hand-held tachometer measures the rotational speed of moving objects such as shafts, drives, pinions etc. without contact. To do this, the hand-held tachometer uses a laser which emits light and a receiving diode that detects the light-dark contrast of the reflected light. The hand-held tachometer measures the speed in the range 2.5 - 99,999 rpm. The speed is shown on the illuminated display of the tachometer. The measuring distance of the hand-held tachometer is 50 - 500 mm. Two different measuring modes are available in the hand-held tachometer: manual and automatic. In manual measuring mode, the hand-held tachometer measures as long as the trigger is pressed. In automatic mode, measurement continues until automatic mode is ended. A MAX, MIN, AVG mode is available in the hand-held tachometer for further evaluation of the measured values."
