Description (from a shop): Nobel en bitter "Pompelmo is de afsluiting van mijn geurreis geïnspireerd door Italiaanse citrusvruchten. Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit Azië, waar de vrucht als heilig werd beschouwd en aan de goden werd geofferd, dook grapefruit - net als de meeste citrusvruchten - voor het eerst op in Sevilla, Spanje, in de 12e of 13e eeuw tijdens de Arabische overheersing. Waarschijnlijk een van de edelste citrusvruchten - ik waardeer grapefruit vooral om zijn bittere smaak. In tegenstelling tot zoete geuren, die ik voor de hand liggend en inspiratieloos vind, is bitterheid voor mij een van de meest briljante geurindrukken.
