Axis TU8008 network media converter Black

Convert Ethernet to optical fiber Reliable configuration Two SFP slots and two RJ45 ports 12-48 V DC or 24 V AC DIN rail or wall mounting options Seamlessly convert Ethernet to fiber for long-distance surveillance. Supports daisy-chain connection, operates in -40°C to +75°C (-40°F to +167°F), and mounts on walls or DIN rails. Ideal for airports, city surveillance, and more.Easy conversion and installationAn Axis device connects to AXIS TU8008 via RJ45, and the two SFP slots allow installers to connect cameras to the network cost-effectively over long distances. The network ports can also be used for connections to additional cameras or temporarily to a laptop for local system service. Note that the Axis device requires an external power supply. AXIS TU8008 can be mounted either on a wall or on a DIN rail for flexible installation and operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +75°C (-40°F to +167°F). From Ethernet to optical fiberThe media converter can be connected to a daisy chain network. The maximum number of cameras that can be connected in the daisy chain depends on the generated bit rate per camera. The limitations are the link between the camera and media converter, and the link between the media converters. For long-distance connectionsFiber optic connections are typically used in city surveillance, airports and other long-distance installations, where lightning strikes are a threat or great connection distances are required. Surveillance integrators in the field can also connect installation monitors and laptops to AXIS TU8008 for camera maintenance and control.
