Dewalt DCW230 18v XR Cordless Random Orbital Sander 150mm

The DeWalt DCW230 18V XR Cordless Random Orbital Sander is a professional-grade 150mm sander built for fast material removal and high-quality finishing across large surface areas. Powered by an 18V XR brushless motor, the DCW230 delivers corded-level performance with the freedom of cordless operation — making it well suited to on-site use by carpenters, joiners, decorators and furniture makers. The 150mm hook and loop sanding pad with a 5mm orbital diameter combines aggressive stock removal with a smooth, consistent finish on doors, worktops and panels. Variable speed control lets users adapt sanding performance to different materials and tasks, whether removing paint, smoothing timber or preparing surfaces for finishing. DeWalt's Perform & Protect technology helps minimise vibration, reducing fatigue during extended use — a practical advantage on larger jobs. The integrated dust extraction system captures sanding dust at source, improving surface finish and extending disc life. The dust port is compatible with the DeWalt AirLock system, and Wireless Tool Control (WTC) enables automatic activation of supported DeWalt dust extractors — a useful feature where COSHH compliance and cleaner working conditions are a priority.
