Faithfull Combination Auger Drill Bit – FAICA22L

This 22mm x 400mm Long Series Faithfull Combination Auger Bit represents serious deep boring capability for major installation work. The combination of substantial 22mm diameter and extended 400mm length makes it essential for drilling through thick structural members, deep wall sections, or multiple timbers where major services such as large pipes or substantial cable bundles need routing. Machined from high quality carbon steel, this bit is specifically engineered to handle the extreme demands of large diameter, deep drilling whilst maintaining rigidity and accuracy. The pitched screw point delivers consistent self-feeding action throughout the entire drilling depth, crucial for maintaining control and reducing operator fatigue during demanding operations. The wide flat spiral design becomes absolutely critical at this combination of diameter and length. It ensures straight tracking over extended distances whilst efficiently evacuating the very substantial volume of waste material generated, preventing the binding, overheating, and premature dulling that can occur with lesser quality bits. Suitable for timber, plywood, MDF and blockwood, this extra long auger can be used in either hand or power drills at low speeds, though power drills are strongly recommended for work at this scale. The carbon steel construction allows for resharpening using a hand file.
