Floor Lamp in Brushed Brass and Marble Base | Murdoch

The Murdoch Floor Lamp in brushed brass is a study in elegant proportion. A slim, golden stem rises from a cylindrical white marble base and curves toward a matching dome shade, casting a warm, focused pool of light. The silhouette is understated yet luxe, perfect for lifting seating corners, reading nooks, and bedrooms with hotel-inspired ambience. Design and Materials Stem and Shade: Brushed brass finish for soft sheen and timeless warmth. Base: White marble cylinder, naturally veined, confidently weighted. Details: Discreet cable routing and refined joints for a clean look. Lighting and Performance Bulb: 1 × (per your spec; dimmable warm LED recommended). Effect: A directional beam suits reading and accent lighting; a brushed interior mellows glare. Comfort: Shade angle helps avoid direct view of the lamp from seated positions. Placement Best placement: beside sofas and lounge chairs; over small side tables; in bedrooms for late-evening reading. Ergonomics: Align the shade centre roughly over your book or laptop for maximum comfort. Benefits Quiet luxury: Brushed brass delivers warmth without mirror-like reflection. Stable presence: A marble base ensures steadfast footing on rugs and hard floors. Design continuity: Coordinates with brass pulls, picture lights, and warm timber. Low maintenance: Wipe metal; keep marble dust-free with a soft cloth.
