Irwin 4X Blue Groove Flat Wood Drill Bit – 10502813

The 20mm IRWIN® Blue Groove 4X Flat Bit is a highly popular size for substantial drilling tasks in timber, ideal for larger pipe runs, significant cable installations, and robust construction applications. This diameter is frequently specified for creating clearance holes for standard 15mm copper pipe and similar fittings. Featuring IRWIN's patented groove point and cutting edge, this 20mm bit cuts through timber with precision and efficiency rather than scraping, ensuring clean, accurate holes every time. The advanced design achieves speeds up to 4 times faster than standard flat bits, delivering substantial time savings on demanding projects. The parabolic scoop provides excellent chip removal and superior control, even when drilling through harder timber species. With an increased relief angle of 17° for enhanced cutting performance and a robust 152mm shank manufactured 10% larger in diameter, this bit is engineered for professional durability. The strengthened construction maintains accuracy and resists bending under intensive use, making it suitable for the most demanding trade applications.
