Irwin HSS Cobalt Drill Bit 6mm Pack of 1

The Irwin 6mm HSS Cobalt Drill Bit is a versatile size perfect for a wide range of metalworking applications in stainless steel and other high alloys. This popular diameter is commonly used for M6 clearance holes, medium-duty fabrication work, and general drilling tasks where durability and performance are crucial. The drill bit body is manufactured from premium HSS steel containing 5% Cobalt, which significantly enhances the red hardness (heat resistance) and results in extended service life. This Cobalt content allows the bit to maintain its cutting edge even under the demanding conditions encountered when drilling stainless steel and other challenging high alloy materials. Featuring 135° split point grinding, this bit ensures perfect centring on your mark without bit walk, whilst reducing the drilling pressure required for clean, accurate hole placement. The industrial quality ground flute design facilitates high accuracy drilling and fast chip removal, preventing clogging and maintaining cutting performance throughout the operation. The golden tempered surface finish reflects superior heat treatment for enhanced durability and performance in professional applications.
