Irwin Wood Auger Drill Bit – 10502773

The Irwin IRW10502773 is a long series 24mm diameter auger drill bit with an extended 400mm overall length, specifically engineered for deep boring applications requiring this major structural hole diameter. This specialist bit is essential for substantial structural timber work, major services installation through thick beams, heavy post preparation, and major construction applications where both large diameter and extended reach are critical. Designed for all general wood boring, this long auger bit offers superior performance under the most demanding large-diameter structural conditions. The single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother quality finish throughout the full depth of major bores, whilst the hexagon shank prevents slipping in drill chucks or bit extensions during prolonged, heavy-duty structural drilling sessions. The solid centre provides extra rigidity whilst boring, absolutely essential for maintaining straightness when drilling 24mm diameter holes at considerable depth through structural timbers. The self-feeding screw point provides faster boring in both soft and hard woods whilst maintaining tracking accuracy in substantial deep holes, and the fully hardened body from tip to shank provides extra durability under the considerable forces generated during deep, large-diameter structural boring. Features and Benefits: • 24mm diameter with 400mm length for major deep structural applications • Long series design essential for substantial structural timber work • Single spur cutting edge maintains structural quality throughout deep large holes • Solid centre prevents deflection under considerable forces at depth • Self-feeding design maintains control whilst reducing substantial operator strain • Fully hardened body ensures maximum reliability in the most demanding structural work Specifications: Diameter (mm): 24 Overall Length (mm): 400 Working Length (mm): 335 Pack Qty.: 1
