Irwin Wood Auger Drill Bit – 10502780

The Irwin IRW10502780 is a 30mm diameter auger drill bit with a 240mm overall length, representing a major size for substantial structural fixings, heavy engineering applications, and large-scale construction projects. This substantial diameter is used for major structural bolts, heavy-duty fixings, and anywhere large clearance or through-holes are required in significant timber construction and engineering work. Engineered for all general wood boring, this auger bit delivers superior performance in robust large-diameter structural applications. The single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother quality finish that meets demanding structural requirements, whilst the hexagon shank prevents slipping in drill chucks or bit extensions even under the substantial torque generated by 30mm diameter drilling operations. The solid centre provides extra rigidity whilst boring, particularly critical with this substantial diameter where maintaining straightness under high cutting forces is essential for structural integrity. The self-feeding screw point provides faster boring in both soft and hard woods, making large-diameter structural drilling more manageable, and the fully hardened body from tip to shank provides extra durability under the demanding forces of substantial structural boring operations. Features and Benefits: • 30mm diameter ideal for major structural fixings and heavy engineering applications • 240mm extended length suitable for substantial construction work • Single spur cutting edge produces clean, structural-grade large holes • Solid centre maintains accuracy under substantial structural cutting forces • Self-feeding design reduces effort in demanding large-diameter operations • Fully hardened construction delivers reliability in heavy structural use Specifications: Diameter (mm): 30 Overall Length (mm): 240 Working Length (mm): 175 Pack Qty.: 1
