Irwin Wood Auger Drill Bit – 10502739

The Irwin IRW10502739 is a 6mm diameter auger drill bit with a 191mm overall length, perfectly sized for general joinery work, dowelling applications and small to medium fastener installations. This versatile diameter is one of the most commonly used sizes for everyday woodworking tasks, making it an essential addition to any professional or serious DIY toolkit. Engineered for all general wood boring, this auger bit delivers superior performance through proven design features. The single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother quality finish that requires minimal secondary finishing, whilst the hexagon shank prevents slipping in drill chucks or bit extensions for reliable operation. The solid centre provides extra rigidity whilst boring, maintaining accuracy even when working with dense hardwoods. The self-feeding screw point provides faster boring in both soft and hard woods without wandering, and the fully hardened body from tip to shank provides extra durability under demanding trade use.
