Irwin Wood Auger Drill Bit – 10502744

The Irwin IRW10502744 is a 10mm diameter auger drill bit with a 191mm overall length, representing one of the most versatile sizes for general carpentry and joinery work. This diameter is ideal for larger coach bolts, substantial dowel work, cable routing, and medium to large fastener applications, making it indispensable for both construction and furniture making. Engineered for all general wood boring, this auger bit delivers superior performance across diverse woodworking applications. The single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother quality finish that accommodates fasteners perfectly, whilst the hexagon shank prevents slipping in drill chucks or bit extensions for reliable operation under load. The solid centre provides extra rigidity whilst boring, maintaining accuracy even in dense hardwoods where deflection can be problematic. The self-feeding screw point provides faster boring in both soft and hard woods, making light work of repetitive drilling tasks, and the fully hardened body from tip to shank provides extra durability for sustained professional use.
