Irwin Wood Auger Drill Bit – 10502758

The Irwin IRW10502758 is a long series 16mm diameter auger drill bit with an extended 400mm overall length, engineered for deep boring applications requiring this substantial hole size. This specialist bit is indispensable for deep structural work, major services installation through thick beams, heavy construction post holes, and any application requiring large-diameter holes at considerable depth. Designed for all general wood boring, this long auger bit offers superior performance in the most challenging deep-hole scenarios. The single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother quality finish throughout the entire bore depth, whilst the hexagon shank prevents slipping in drill chucks or bit extensions during prolonged, heavy-duty drilling operations. The solid centre provides extra rigidity whilst boring, absolutely essential for preventing deflection when drilling large diameter holes at extended depths. The self-feeding screw point provides faster boring in both soft and hard woods whilst maintaining tracking accuracy, and the fully hardened body from tip to shank provides extra durability under the substantial forces encountered during deep, large-diameter structural work. Features and Benefits: • 16mm diameter with 400mm length for major deep boring applications • Long series design tackles thick structural timbers and beams • Single spur cutting edge maintains quality throughout deep large-diameter holes • Solid centre prevents deflection under substantial cutting forces at depth • Self-feeding design maintains control whilst reducing operator strain • Fully hardened body ensures reliability in the most demanding applications Specifications: Diameter (mm): 16 Overall Length (mm): 400 Working Length (mm): 335 Pack Qty.: 1
