Irwin Wood Auger Drill Bit – 10502767

The Irwin IRW10502767 is a long series 20mm diameter auger drill bit with an extended 400mm overall length, specifically engineered for deep boring applications requiring this major hole diameter. This specialist bit is essential for deep structural timber work, major services routing through thick beams, heavy post installation, and construction applications where both substantial diameter and extended reach are critical requirements. Designed for all general wood boring, this long auger bit offers superior performance under the most demanding structural conditions. The single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother quality finish throughout the full depth of substantial bores, whilst the hexagon shank prevents slipping in drill chucks or bit extensions during prolonged, heavy-duty structural drilling operations. The solid centre provides extra rigidity whilst boring, absolutely essential for maintaining straightness and accuracy when drilling 20mm diameter holes at considerable depth through structural timbers. The self-feeding screw point provides faster boring in both soft and hard woods whilst maintaining tracking accuracy in deep holes, and the fully hardened body from tip to shank provides extra durability under the substantial forces generated during deep, large-diameter structural work.
