Knipex 97 53 Lateral Access Self Adjusting Crimping Pliers – 048497

The Knipex 97 53 Lateral Access Self Adjusting Crimping Pliers are professional-grade crimping tools designed for electricians and control panel builders working with wire ferrules. Factory-calibrated to DIN 46228 parts 1 + 4 standards, these self-adjusting pliers automatically adapt to different ferrule sizes, ensuring consistent hexagonal crimps without manual adjustment. The self-releasing mechanism with integral lock delivers repetitive, high-quality crimps across a wide capacity range from 0.08 mm² to 10 mm² (AWG 28-8). The toggle lever design provides optimum force transmission, reducing hand fatigue during extended use, while the narrow handle width and improved ergonomics make these pliers particularly suited for work in confined spaces. Ideal for crimping all twin wire ferrules up to 2 x 4 mm² or 2 x AWG 12, these pliers are especially valuable for control cabinet wiring and electrical installations where space is limited. The hexagonal compression profile ensures confined connection dimensions whilst maintaining secure, reliable terminations. The handy shape and low weight contribute to excellent operational comfort during repetitive crimping tasks.
