The M8701 is a three mode rotary hammer drill which is suitable for use with SDS Plus shank drill bits and chisels. It has a variable speed trigger, forward and reverse settings and a torque limiter which safeguards against any aggressive twisting in the event of a bit jam. The mode selector dial is located on the underside of the machine, behind the auxiliary handle - providing protection from accidental drops and impacts.
