Zinsser Gardz 1L Clear Interior Problem Surface Sealer Primer for Walls, Ceilings & Previously Papered Surfaces

Zinsser Gardz Clear Primer is a specialist water-based sealer designed to tackle the most challenging porous and friable interior surfaces. Its deep-penetrating formula soaks into damaged drywall, new plaster, joint compound, skim coats, calcimine, and uncoated wallpaper to seal, bind, and stabilise them from within. Gardz effectively locks down chalky residues, dust, and crumbling material, creating a uniform, sound, and rock-hard base that is resistant to moisture. This prevents topcoats from being over-absorbed, eliminating problems like uneven sheen and peeling paint. Ideal for sealing stubborn wallcovering adhesive residue to prevent it from softening or bleeding through new paint, Gardz dries to a transparent, durable film that protects during sanding without altering the substrate's natural appearance. It is low odour, cleans up with soap and water, and provides a professional-grade foundation for a flawless, long-lasting finish. Apply by brush, roller, or spray. Coverage: up to 9–10 m² per litre per coat. Touch dry in 30 minutes; recoat in 1–2 hours at 20°C. Always ensure good ventilation and follow all safety instructions on the container.
