Irwin 6X Blue Groove Extra Long Wood Drill Bit – 1921999

The Irwin Blue Groove 6X Extra Long Wood Drill Bit in 16mm diameter is an excellent choice for drilling larger cable access holes and pipe penetrations through structural timber. At 400mm (16 inch) in length, this extra long bit provides the extended reach required for drilling through thick walls, ceilings and floor assemblies commonly encountered in construction and renovation work. Delivering 6 times faster drilling penetration than standard flat bits, the 16mm variant excels in both speed and hole quality. The advanced Tri-Flute design facilitates rapid chip ejection, maintaining optimal cutting efficiency throughout the drilling process. The full screw tip ensures effortless pull through and precise positioning, whilst the cutting spurs produce clean, professional holes with minimal splintering or break out. Heat treated for superior durability, this drill bit incorporates a tapered flute design that significantly reduces binding, allowing for smoother, more controlled drilling even in challenging applications.
