Irwin Wood Auger Drill Bit – 10502772

The Irwin IRW10502772 is a 24mm diameter auger drill bit with a 191mm overall length, representing a major size for substantial structural fixings, heavy construction work, and large-scale engineering applications. This substantial diameter is used for major structural bolts, heavy-duty coach screws, and anywhere large clearance or through-holes are required in significant timber construction projects. Engineered for all general wood boring, this auger bit delivers superior performance in robust large-diameter structural applications. The single spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother quality finish that meets demanding structural requirements, whilst the hexagon shank prevents slipping in drill chucks or bit extensions even under the substantial torque generated by 24mm diameter drilling operations. The solid centre provides extra rigidity whilst boring, particularly critical with this substantial diameter where maintaining straightness under high cutting forces is essential for structural integrity. The self-feeding screw point provides faster boring in both soft and hard woods, making large-diameter structural drilling more manageable, and the fully hardened body from tip to shank provides extra durability under the demanding forces of substantial structural boring operations.
