Wera 7440 Kraftform ESD Adjustable Torque Screwdriver

The Wera 7440 Kraftform ESD Adjustable Torque Screwdriver is a precision torque tool designed for sensitive electronic assembly work where electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection is essential. With a surface resistance of =10? Ohm, this screwdriver provides dependable protection against electrostatic energy and associated component damage — making it well suited to electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, and any application where static-sensitive components are handled. The torque range of 0.3–1.2 Nm is adjustable without the need for special tools, and the clearly marked scale ensures the correct torque value can be set quickly and with confidence. The Rapidaptor quick-release chuck accepts bits with a 1/4" hexagon head drive (DIN ISO 1173-C 6.3 and E 6.3), enabling fast bit changes without interrupting workflow. When loosening seized fixings, the clutch disengages to allow unlimited torque — a practical feature that prevents the need to switch tools. Wera's multi-component Kraftform handle combines hard and soft zones to support high working speeds while reducing hand fatigue during prolonged use. A hexagonal anti-roll profile prevents the tool from rolling off workbenches — a straightforward but useful detail in a busy workshop environment.
